Third and last child of a sibling, growing up in Beaujolais, Zacchary was raised to the sounds of rock, such as the Rolling Stones, the Who, and Pink Floyd. Passionate about music at a very young age, he enrolled in a CHAM course (class with hours accommodated for music practice) at the conservatory of Villefranche sur Saône at the age of 7. He then took a complete course in percussion, piano, and music theory. Alongside this learning of classical music, Zacchary discovered jazz and drums.

He then continued his career at the CRR in Lyon, where he obtained two DEMs, one in classical practice and one in jazz, respectively, in 2016 and 2018. After several years of work and thoughts, he decided in 2019 to devote himself to jazz drums and joined the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris.
