Camille Martin
Camille Martin, a versatile double bassist, is equally at home in the classical repertoire, improvised music and performance. She has played in numerous ensembles in Switzerland and France, including the Lucerne Sinfonietta, Luzerner Vokal Kammerensemble, Schweizer Jugend-Sinfonie-Orchester, 21st Century Orchestra, Orchestre Ostinato and OJIF.
She plays electroacoustic double bass for two plays: Not in My Name (Giesinger Culture Prize 2018, Munich) and WaxEn, and is currently developing a generative improvisation performance, Espiègle.
She teaches at the Musikschule in Rontal and Menzingen (Switzerland).
Camille holds a DEM diploma from Gennevilliers (summa cum laude), a Bachelor’s degree from HSLU Luzern, and is currently studying for a Master’s degree in classical double bass at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel.
