Axelle Saint-Cirel

Mezzo-soprano

(august 4, 5, 17, 18, 19)

Axelle Saint-Cirel is a mezzo-soprano who uses her voice in a variety of repertoires, from opera to jazz and musical comedy.

Currently studying for a master’s degree in opera singing at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris, she is perfecting her technique and interpretation skills. She worked with professionals such as Sumi Jo, Anne Sofie Von Otter, Stéphane Fuget and Barbara Frittoli, who provided her with invaluable tools. These masterclasses reinforced her career path.

Axelle won the 2022 edition of the Nuits lyriques de Marmande competition, and is currently a finalist in the 2023 Génération Opéra class.

She explores, through opera singing, the organic nature and power of her voice. Previously, she performed the roles of Aloès in L’Etoile (Chabrier), as well as a part in La mère in L’Enfant et les Sortilèges (Ravel), Nicklausse in Les Contes d’Hoffmann (Offenbach), throughout a tour in the French overseas departments and territories, etc. She also played Dinah or Anita in the musicals Trouble in Tahiti and West Side Story by L. Bernstein.

On stage, the young singer easily adapts to different roles and characters.
