Born in 2001, Ionah Maiatsky, a pianist of Franco-Slavic origin, has already distinguished himself in international competitions: in 2021 he won First Prize at the Albert Roussel Competition in Paris, and in 2022 Second Prize and the Belle Saison Prize at the Lyon International Chamber Music Competition with cellist Paul-Marie Kuzma.

In 2023, he won the Grand Prix at the Ravel Academy in Saint-Jean de Luz.

Passionate about both solo piano repertoire and chamber music, he performs regularly at festivals such as Festival Ravel, Lavaux Classic, Les Pianissimes, La Belle Saison, Concerts de Poche, Les Chaises Musicales du quatuor Ébène, Centre de musique de chambre de Paris and others. Very attracted by today’s music, he had the chance to premiere works by Florence Bachet and Seong-Hwan Lee in 2023. Since 2018, he has formed the duo Ermitage with cellist Paul Marie Kuzma.

First trained in Lausanne in piano, organ, improvisation and chamber music, in 2014 he entered the CRR in Paris, where he studied for four years with Billy Eidi. In 2018, at the age of 16, Ionah entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris, where he studied with Marie-Josèphe Jude and Jonas Vitaud, graduating in 2023 with top honors in piano and chamber music. He pursued chamber music studies in a variety of formations, from duos to quartets, twice including master’s courses.
