Vivian Angelloz
Vivian Angelloz began bassoon at the age of 7 in Jean-François Angelloz’s class at the CRR de Reims, where he graduated with honors at the age of 14. He soon developed a passion for orchestra, opera and chamber music. At the age of 13, he began taking private lessons with Laurent Lefevre (principal bassoon of the Orchestre de l’Opéra de Paris), and joined his class at the CRR de Paris at the age of 14, the year he won his prize in Reims.
Continuing his academic and musical studies in Reims, he travels back and forth by TER between Reims and Paris. At the age of 17, he entered Gilbert Audin’s class at the CNSMD in Paris and passed his baccalaureate in Reims the same year, thus completing his studies there and enabling him to move to Paris. He graduated with honors at the age of 21, and then devoted himself fully to chamber music and orchestral training. At 23, he entered the class of Julien Hardy (principal bassoon of the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France) at the CNSMD de Lyon, where he perfected his musical language over a two-year period.
On the strength of these lessons, he entered the ARD International Wind Quintet Competition in Munich, where he achieved good results, although he failed to win first prize. Since then, Vivian Angelloz has worked as principal bassoon with the Orchestre de l’Opéra de Reims and the Orchestre de la Police Nationale, and has performed with many other orchestras, including the Orchestre de l’Opéra de Paris, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Orchestre du Capitole de Toulouse, the Orchestre National de Lorraine, the Orchestre de Mulhouse, the Orchestre de Picardie, the Orchestre de Tours…
Since its creation, he has been an important member of the Mahlerian Camerata. Vivian Angelloz loves to share his passion, and nothing makes him happier than playing music from an early age.
